Tahmeed Azizul Huq – International Partner
Tahmeed is an independent consultant and a Synecticsworld International Partner. He is based in Bangladesh, one of the most exciting countries in South Asia. After graduating with a Bachelors in Business degree from Independent University Bangladesh in 1999, Tahmeed joined British American Tobacco as a Territory Officer in the field of Trade Marketing and Distribution. After three years, Tahmeed was promoted to Brand Marketing where he worked for brand segments in the BAT Bangladesh portfolio. Tahmeed worked in multiple brands both within and beyond his home country. Tahmeed was then posted to the UAE as the Brand Manager for Asian Brands responsible for the GCC Countries. After completion of his tenure in the UAE, he returned to BAT Bangladesh as Senior Brand Manager for Premium Brands. After eight years at BAT, Tahmeed decided to explore new possibilities outside BAT and joined a marketing and advertising company called Market Access. He headed the services marketing unit and advertising agency as an Executive Director. After a two year stint in a more entrepreneurial environment, Tahmeed moved to a large, local corporation, ACI Limited, which gave him the opportunity to learn about how local family owned companies operate. His tenure in ACI was focused on business operations. After a year, he was offered the position as the head of corporate communication in the largest telecom of Bangladesh, “Grameenphone”. There he spent the next six years in various roles in corporate communication and PR, market communications, marketing strategy, communication channel (media), campaign development etc.
Tahmeed is a brand and marketing strategist. He has experience in brand positioning, brand development and believes strongly that a strong brand is essential to the success of an organization. He is a believer in making things happen. He is a sports enthusiast and plays amateur weekend cricket.
